From the Pastors Desk - October 07, 2019
It is October, the leaves are starting to turn bright colors, most summer vacations are over, hopefully there won’t be any snow this month and Good Shepherd will be focusing on Stewardship. Do not run away or stop reading: we plan on having fun!
By now, you should have received an initial letter and you know that our theme come from St. Paul: Found faithful in little, with much, with all. We will be having a couple of “everyone participates” moments. Don’t worry nothing hard or embarrassing and no quiz afterwards: It involves stickers and index cards.
There are some great and faithful things Good Shepherd has done in the past and there are some great and faithful things we do now. But what else can we do in a world that is ever changing? Looking to a faithful future is not something one pastor or one Council or one Stewardship committee can do. But it is something one congregation can do!
I look forward to all of us getting thoughtful, creative and excited!
